A recent rumor suggests that Apple will bridge the gap between its standard iPhone models and its higher-end models with the iPhone 15, expected to be announced in September.
iPhone 15 Pro models are now rumored to have 8 features the regular iPhone 15 won’t:
- A17 chip
- Wi-Fi 6E
- Higher-speed USB-C port
- Titanium frame
- Even thinner bezels
- Increased 8GB RAM
- Solid-state buttons with Taptic feedback
- At least 6x optical zoom (Pro Max)
A17 Chip: The A17 chip is Apple upcomming chip which can be used in some Apple products, such as iPhones and iPads. It will be 7 nanometer chip that utilizes the latest technology and architecture to deliver high performance and energy efficiency.
Wi-Fi 6E: Wi-Fi 6E is the latest iteration of Wi-Fi technology, which provides faster and more reliable internet connectivity. The “E” in Wi-Fi 6E stands for the additional frequency band in the 6 GHz range, which is wider and less congested compared to traditional 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.
Higher-speed USB-C port: A USB-C port is a type of universal serial bus that supports faster data transfer speeds and can also be used for charging devices. Higher-speed USB-C ports offer even faster data transfer and charging speeds compared to previous generations.
Titanium Frame: A titanium frame refers to a device’s frame or body that is made from titanium, a strong and lightweight metal. Devices with titanium frames are generally more durable and resistant to corrosion, but also more expensive.
Even Thinner Bezels: A bezel is the border around a device’s screen. Thinner bezels reduce the overall size of a device and allow for more screen real estate in a compact form factor.
Increased 8GB RAM: RAM, or random access memory, is a type of computer memory used to temporarily store data. The increased 8GB RAM indicates that a device has more memory to store data, which can result in faster and more efficient performance.
Solid-state buttons with Taptic Feedback: Solid-state buttons are buttons that do not physically move when pressed, but instead use haptic feedback to provide the sensation of a physical button press. Taptic feedback refers to the specific type of haptic feedback used by Apple products.
At least 6x Optical Zoom (Pro Max): Optical zoom refers to the ability of a device’s camera to zoom in on a subject while maintaining the clarity of the image. The “at least 6x optical zoom” feature indicates that the device’s camera can zoom in by at least 6 times without losing image quality. The “Pro Max” designation is a product line from Apple that offers higher-end specifications and features compared to other models.
