Gemini can now generate images

gemini

In their recent updates, it was announced that the AI model can now generate images as well, The picture above is an example. This feature brings Google’s AI model in line with it’s competitors like midjourney and open AI. Both of which host powerful image generators. One of the thing that sets google’s ai model apart from it’s competitors is that it’s image generator is completely free. To access midjourney, you need to cross a paywall but google’s image generator does it for free. Just look up gemini and put in your prompt. Other good things about it include:-

  1. Imagen gets it’s public debut.
  2. It uses an invisible watermark.

Next gen capabilities

The standard approach that was utilised up till now for creating multimodals was that different components were trained seperately and then stitched together. This resulted in the AI performing simple tasks seamlessly but it struggled with complex and relatively more difficult problems. In the case of gemini, Google designed it to be natively multimodal. What this means is that it is pre trained to understand multiple types of input putting it in a league of it’s own far above any other pre existing ai model.
